the day i could not eat anymore!!!

its the last friday for me here in London..

after a long night yesterday today was indeed a good day.. our boxes finally got picked up after 6 days of delay due to an unavoidable event from the packer's side..walaupun rumah belum siap kemas n cuci tapi today kene keluar juga untuk settlekan hal2 lain..

went out at about 1130 to the bank to close my bank account.. later went to Bayswater to meet Dini and Kay for lunch.. had mexican food today for lunch...its a halal restaurant so Kay and I had a good piece of steak [ not so much of mexican :P] but dini had a great chicken combo..

later in the evening had our dinner at Sofra Restaurant.. its a turkish restaurant with a variety of food...thanks to Abang, Fazly, Najlaa, Nadiah, Kak Zetty , Abang Juk and Zara for the treat :P i tried the lamb tagine and deep fried mussel..yummy!!

for the Londoners whose still here, this is a great place to go! but you guys have to book in advanced as the place is swamped with people!! panjang betul line...

GONNA MISS EVERYBODY!! THE LONDON'S STYLE, PEOPLE, PUBLIC TRANSPORT, THE SHOPS AND MANY MORE!!!

ok.. time to sambung kemas barang!! another long@ hope to be great last day tomorrow!!

she's the daughter of Bree my neighbour whom i babysit several times.. she a cutie aint she.. lepas juga rindu kat akilah jaga dia.. she knows the sign language so..even though dia lom pandai cakap kalau dia nak apa2 dia bg sign language jer..kire i yg tak tau sign language nie pun dah tau dah the basics..babysit dia mmg senang..she never cried even once pun time a jaga dia..sangat active at the park..gaya tak cam budak kecik..nak naik slide yang paling tinggi jer..nak swing laju2 jer..heheh..adorable..

juniper nie leh kire cam akilah nya close friend laa kat London..gonna miss her as well bila balik msia nnt! hope to see them soon..lets make a trip to US perhaps!! wink wink kat Kak In..

second last weekend!

my saturday begun as usual at 7 am..started the packing routine ngan abang before kak wan and abang marwan arrive to give us a hand with the packing..initially the packers patut amik the boxes saturday so we were a bit in a rush..suddenly around 4 camtu abang receive a call from him saying that van dia rosak in manchester..so tak jadilaa amik..terus mood berkemas stop:P jutaan terima kasih to Kak Wan and Abang Marwan for helping out..hero n heroin bnyk membantu ngan barang2 besar..ehheh

after that we headed to Kak Ida's and Abang Faiz's farewell..Kak wan dah biasa makan situ al-maklum dekat ngan campusnya..for the rest of us majority first time..overall the place is nice..tak clutted cam kedai2 lain @ family friendly..the menu variety gak..and the food sedap juga!

sunday pula farewell lunch ngan geng LCA..we met at Leceister's Square and had our lunch at Misoto, a Japanese restaurant..sangat bising meja kami ...for a party of 10 we sounded as if ada 30 orang kat meja tu...lepak sana for about one and a half hour pastu headed back to Leicester Square..kebetulan ada West End Open Theater that day..we had a lot of taking picture session..akan di upload soon ...semuanya guna the others nya camera la tapi..yang ada skit nie pun from my blackberry agak blur gambar nya and from Howe nya camera yang telah diupload di FB..we had a good round of Jazz music as well..mmg menarik gak concept West End Open Theater ni..

esok malam ada farewell kak ida n hubby..ahad pula farewell utk diri sendiri and semua warga classmate LCA yg coming back to Malaysia..

ok..saya sedar entry ini lansung tak da flow..saya penat! kaki juga nak tercabut..hehheh..

woot woot...hello everybody!!

its been awhile since my last entry...ehhe..been busy packing and last round of shopping before i go back... 13 more days and yet there still tons of packing to do!!

had a great weekend!! dah lama tak rasa puas shopping camni:P di samping menjadi personal shopper kepada rakan-rakan yang berpesan , I had my share of happiness! walaupun duit sangat limited and there's like so many things to do, I still cant deny the fact that i wont get the opportunity to shop like this anymore..not in the nearest time that is!!

my shopping routine started the day i finished my exams.. heheh..tapi first day to baru warmup my engine and i bought a denim waistcoat from H&M..loved it..back in south africa when i was small i had one that i adore so much..dah besar2 nie teringin lak nak pakai denim waistcoat lagi:P

friday went to oxford street by myself before meeting up Kak Imah for a movie date..had a blast shop sorang-sorang kat primark..love the clothes there..lawa and affordable especially for us students :P next head to selfridges to survey stuff for frens sambil interview the SA for detail of the upcoming sales!!got myself a shoe from Dorothy Perkins..later that evening had a late lunch@dinner..her treat!! thankss kak imah..then we watched Hangover!! seriusly..sick and funny !! good movies to release stress..gelak all the way...

saturday.. Abang, kak imah and i went to Bicester Village..seronok jadi personal shopper orang!! bought myself a burberry shirt , a top from mexx and two shoes from clarks..finally dah nak balik nie baru ada my cinderella size..yippe! so beli 2 sekali gus..the rest membeli pesanan rakan-rakan...

sunday pula we went to Ashford... bought myself ralph's jeans and t-shirt, 3 work shirts from TM Lewin, shirt from Next and M&S Wedges...yang lain tu secret!! from there we headed to Kak Wan and Abg Marwan's crib!! yummy dinner Kak wan!! thankssss

monday pula..woke up at about 8..did a bit of laundry and packing..keluar jap ngan abang to the DIY store and balik sambung a bit of packing..about 1 siap-siap utk date ngan Kak Imah n Kak Wan kat Camden.. went the Aldo Outlet..got myself a bag and a pair of shoe..wink wink..kasut lagi..lepas tu, we decided to go to Primark..but this time round hanya membeli satu top sahaja..bankrupt already!

next agenda would be the Selfridges Sale thursday nie..tapi tak laa shop2 sangat..nak gi rasa thrill beratur panjang-panjang jer...kalau terjumpa baru beli :P all my money finish already..duit hasil babysitting pun habis juga..balik malaysia kalau tak dapat keje matilaa den..

p/s: saya sudah mula tengok Boys Before Flowers..peminat K-series tau laa wat im talking about.. comel nya..nak boyfriend camgitu laa :P

A Curry A Day could keep D.E.M.E.N.T.I.A away...

i was attracted to the title of this article from Yahoo's hot topics... personally am not a curry fan except my mom's curry, people i know who cooks the curry and when i cook it myself..muakakka..just thought of sharing this article...


Having a curry once or twice a week could stave off Alzheimer's disease, it has been claimed.

Curcumin, an ingredient in turmeric, which is used widely in Indian cuisine, is believed to prevent changes in the brain by blocking the spread of amyloid plaques - toxic protein deposits thought to play a key role in Alzheimer's.

Members of the Royal College of Psychiatrists were told at their annual meeting in Liverpool that laboratory and animal studies have already produced strong evidence that curry combats dementia.

A clinical trial is now under way in California to test the effects of curcumin on a group of Alzheimer's patients.

Indian-born American expert Professor Murali Doraiswamy said: "You can modify a mouse so that at about 12 months its brain is riddled with plaques. If you feed it a curcumin-rich diet it dissolves these plaques. The same diet prevented younger mice from forming new plaques.

"The next step is to test curcumin on human amyloid plaque formation using newer brain scans and there are plans for that."

Prof Doraiswarmy said rates of Alzheimer's are known to be low in Asian communities with turmeric-rich diets. One study in Singapore showed that regular curry eaters were at least half as likely to develop the disease as people who avoided curry.

Curries from southern India are richest in the spice, with it mostly found in Indian dishes with a "gravy" - not necessarily the hottest ones - including chicken and lamb tikkas.

"If you're not a fan of curry you can try putting mustard on your food," said Prof Doraiswamy. "I'm not a big fan of supplements in general but if they're from a responsible store then that might be another way to go."

He continued: "Studies looking at populations show that people who eat a curry meal two or three times a week seem to have a lower risk for dementia.

"Those studies seem to show that you need only consume what is part of the normal diet - but the research studies are testing higher doses to see if they can maximise the effect. It would be equivalent of going on a curry spree for a week."

Curcumin's effects are not well understood but it is believed to reduce inflammation - an immune reaction thought to play a key role in Alzheimer's - in a number of different ways, he said. It is thought to inhibit an enzyme called cox-2 which is also the target of anti-inflammatory drugs.

Prof Doraiswarmy added: "It is considered one of the three or four essential spices that are good for longevity. I eat curry at least three or four times a week and even when I make western dishes I often use curry spices to flavour them."

3rd time is a charm???

i dont think so!!!!!!!

this in fact is the 3rd time i cried over a paper that is related to corporate accounting!!!

1st- corporate accounting 1..back in degree..i tot the paper was so tough..cried like a crazy person..it turned out i had no reason to cried as i got a great grade on that paper

2nd- corporate accounting 2..back in degree..again..had a tough time answering the paper..again..cried due to frustration..with the pressure of being in the final semester and didnt want to resit the paper..moreover i was preparing myself to come to London...siap pujuk rayu mr samuel sbb nak tau result awal:P

3rd- today!!! me beloved p2 acca paper..corporate accounting..lebih dramatis..international version!!! this time round mmg nangis secara melampau juga..sedihnya.. to make things worst had a major period pain since last night..siap telan panadol 3 kali..still sama..mmg dugaan!! tapi this time round rasa mmg cam tak lepas jer p2 nie..sedihnyaaaa

yesterdays paper was better.. now need to concentrate on tomorrows!! pray for me !!

hahahha...obviously im still in London....siap esok exam lagi...seronok lak dengar bunyi guruh n kilat menyambar.. jarang bgt London ni hujan cam gini..tapi it lasted less than half an hour pun..i told you London's weather cant be trusted!! main chak chak lak...one minute panas ..pastu back to the gloomy days...well gonna miss the "gloomy" weather soon...

got about 24 hours before my battle begins...this time round i feel more prepared as no signs of sickness and stress level masih terkawal walaupun tinggi:p semoga semuanya berjalan lancar..amin...

today is not a good day.. got a major tummy ache all day long...feeling bloated..major breakout!! moody for no reason..cant sit still...

oh yaa.. saya juga telah dapat clutch anya from target for my birthday.. kebetulan wanny pun baru beli anya from target..now dah 2 laa anya kita yg sama collection babe!! nasib baik this time round ko nya bag aku nya clutch..

lepas suka suki jap had my bath and sambung study for several hours...tetiba teringat yang belum enquire [ok..nak spell ikut british ke american??] cab rate for my exam next week.. well having my exam in alexandar palace.. the thing is kalau nak naik public transport i kene naik bus..pastu naik tube..pastu tukar bus..pastu tukar bus.. and the total masa perjalanan will take about almost 2 hours...actually tempat tu takdalaa jauh sgt but due tu takder tube nk gi area tu ni laa jadinya..asal laaa tukar examination center.. kalau acca biar kitaorg amik kat earls court kan convinient!! bengong..anyways back to the story..since i have 3 days of my exam hence the total amount of fare would cost me like 90 quid... what the hell?? mahalnya..haiyoo..dah laa baru bayar t-mobile..nak balik lagi..tiket lagi.. mmg sah bankruptla den..balik msia nnt kalau tak dapat keje lagi mmg kene dok diam-diam kat rumah...so setelah diskusi ngan my brother decided juga to amik cab for 3 days..cuma last day lepas exam tu balik naik bus etc..takut letih n kong lak sbb 3 hari exam..

lepas dok pening kepala pasal hal tu teringat i need to amend @ rombak balik my resume...now my resume yg 5 page itu sudah look more professional with only 2 pages left...

now i just finished resting my mind for half an hour dengan aktiviti sambil menari di depan tv mengikut rentak yang dihidangkan oleh KISS chanel..back to my books..daaa
