Eid 2008...

yesterday i got to spend my first eid in London...we celebrated our eid on the 30th September 2008..satu hari lebih awal dari Malaysia.. I guess this my first time ever berpuasa for 29 days sahaja..Lucky for us, Kak in already prepared most of the blending , tumis etc the night before..so on the raya eve tinggal nak masak and mengemas je..Our raya menu was rendang ayam minang, kuah kacang, nasi impit and ketupat palas..our ketupat palas was an improvised version anyways.. Since abang prefer ketupat palas rather than ketupat nasi, Kak In decided tu fulfilled her beloved husband's wishes..instead of using daun palas, kitaorg shaped the pulut into segitiga in plastic..hehehe...thankfully the end product agak menjadi and nyum-nyum..

anyways, this raya was really a mixture of emotions raya for me..first of all im away from all the people that i love and i really do miss them...however, I get to compensate it by enjoying my first raya in London..moreover i get to spent my raya with abang setelah almost 7 years tak beraya bersama..lagi satu its my first raya with my kakak ipar..dan...yang paling penting i get to spent akilah's first ever raya..

we started our raya with the ritual maaf bermaafan..then menjamu selera...next, kitaorg gi Malaysian Embassador's open house..ramai juge orang..overall the food was nice..then, we went to Kak In's friends house.. dapatlah merasa juadah orang turki..makan lagi! then we head to Abang Feroz'z place.. by that time we were already full so end up minum n makan papodom jer.. eh betul ker ejaan tu?? lepas tu pulang ker rumah terus coz abang's friend, Jamal was coming over..

Kirenya my raya here was a simple yet memorable raya..
